The objects in this assemblage belonged to my grandfather and my uncle, both veterans of WWII and Vietnam; my grandfather was a high level Pentagon photographer and my uncle was an Army trumpeter who saw the world with his band. These scraps of their lives were found jumbled together in an old leather case; an odd collection of tickets, photos, bullets, cufflinks and other mementos and junk drawer scraps. They wove a narrative for me, a snapshot of their lives evocative of their respective eras. I created this in their honor.
